Presbyterian Women

Here at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, we have two specific Presbyterian Women groups: Naomi Circle, which meets in the day time, and Sarah Circle, which meets in the evening. Below is a little bit about each group:

Naomi Circle usually meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 10:30am in the TUPC Fellowship Hall. This group gathers together for bible study and discussion, usually centered around the PW yearly Bible Study. They also go out to lunch for fellowship following bible study. We would love to have you join us!

Sarah Circle is a small group of women whose mission is to support local women and children and related charities in our community. We are part of the bigger group called Presbyterian Women within the Presbyterian Church (USA).  We work closely with The Shelter of Flint and other organizations in our area. We meet the second Monday of each month at 6:15pm. We share a meal, brainstorm ways we can contribute to our community and do a short bible study.  We are currently fundraising to build a new, safe playground on our property. We would love to invite anyone interested to join us for fun, fellowship and studying women of the Bible.

A Little More About Presbyterian Women

Who are the Presbyterian Women (PW)?

PW is the national women’s organization of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  With a history of more than 200 years and more than 300,000 members, PW is organized at all levels of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

The PCUSA's Presbyterian Women website (https://www.presbyterianwomen.org/) explains the PW Purpose is for women to commit themselves to nurture faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the PCUSA and witnesses the promise of God’s kingdom. You can visit the Presbyterian Women's website for more information.

The PW Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,

  • to support the mission of the church worldwide,

  • to work for justice and peace, and

  • to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
